This is our dear Shamu. Recently, he lost the use of his hind legs and relies on the "Doggon" wheelchair to get around. Since he isn't strong enough to pull himself on the dirt roads and up the hills, we tow him with the Segway every day for an hour! He still loves to bark at the horses and carry his stuffed animals. Four years ago, he was diagnosed with stage-3 lymphocarcinoma (cancer) and endured through months of chemotherapy and survived! He has had an "extra" four years of a great life on the ranch - and recently celebrated his 14th birthday. Sadly, we are struggling with the decision of putting him down - but we keep postponing it because he still seems to enjoy life! We love him so much and are trying to make his last moments with us as happy as possible.
